Concepută într-un limbaj Neoromânesc sobru și masiv, vila de la numărul 15 pe strada Alexandru Philippide se remarcă printr-un joc de volume bine controlat: bovindoul dinspre stradă, accentul vertical pe trei niveluri din traveea mediană a fațadei lungi, împreună cu foișorul de colt generează o alternare plăcută a planurilor fațadei și tușe puternice de umbră.

Atât bovindoul cât și volumul vertical dinspre curte utilizează o simetrie atent compusă, generând un sentiment de ordine și axialitate în cadrul fațadelor de altfel foarte divers perforate de ferestre, uși, ancadramente și ocnițe de varii forme și proporții. 

Aspectul aerisit și filiform al structurii foișorului contrastează într-o manieră jucăușă cu masivitatea consolelor bovindoului, a arcului ferestrei (turtit parcă de greutatea aceluiași bovindou de deasupra), a contraforților de colț și a amplului acoperiș. Acest joc de materialitate mai apare în opera arhitectului la Vila dr. N. Gh. Lupu (1929) și la Ansamblul Depozit de vinuri şi locuinţe salariaţi ale Băncii Viticole (1928).

Conceived in a sobre and massive Neo-Romanian style, the villa at 15 Alexandru Philippide Street distinguishes itself through a well controlled play on volumes: the streetside bow-window, the three level high vertical accent that occupies the middle bay of the long facade, together with the corner belvedere generate a pleasant alternation of facade planes and powerful brush strokes of shade.

Both the bow-window and the courtside vertical volume use a carefully composed symmetry, generating a sense of order and axiality within the facades,that are otherwise diversely perforated by windows, doors, window frames and blind niches of varied shapes and sizes.

The airy and thin aspect of belvedere structure comes into playful contrast with the massivity of the bow-window supports, of the depressed arch (which seems to be bent by the weight of the same bow-window above), of the corner butteresses and of the ample roof. This play on textures reappears within the architects’ work on Dr. N. Gh. Lupu Villa (1929) and on the Wine warehouse and living quarters for Banca Viticolă (1928).
